Medical Director / Paediatrician
Born and raised in Ghana, Dr. Danso graduated in 1974 from the University of Ghana Medical School and received the Gold Prize.
A distinguished physician and medical administrator, he received his Fellowship in General Paediatrics in 1980 and a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology and a Master of Public Health degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, in1983. Following a Fellowship in Neonatology in 1984, he served as a consultant paediatrician at the Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada from 1984 to 1993.
From 1993 to 2008, he was a Consultant Paediatrician at the Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, British Columbia, where he has also served as the medical director of the special care nursery and as Chief of Paediatrics.
Along with his extensive clinical background, Dr. Danso has also completed the Canadian College of Health Service Executives Physician Management Institute courses, sponsored by the Canadian Medical Association. He brings his extensive medical and administrative skills to the Ghana-Canada Health Company, of which he is a founding director. He is directly responsible for administration and staffing of the Medical Centre, as Medical Director, and chairs the medical advisory committee of the company.
